The SWIFT Difference

We’re spreading an exciting philosophy of movement.

To us, Pilates is not just another exercise program. We see it much like Mary Bowen, one of Pilates' original disciples,  who has been practicing Pilates weekly for almost 50 years.

Our approach is laid-back; but smart.

At SWIFT, quality of movement is valued over quantity of repetitions. By encouraging proper breathing, correct spinal and pelvic positioning, and smooth flowing movements, you will become acutely in touch with your body.

And then, over time, you will actually:

  • Develop a strong core (or in plain talk: a flat stomach and a strong back)
  • Gain long lean muscles and improved flexibility
  • Move more efficiently
  • Learn how to 'feel' and then control your body’s movement
  • Condition your body evenly (improve at sports or injure less – plain talk again)

Our Teachers are body detectives.

These amazing outcomes only happen because we draw on our skill and know-how to discover your real problem. Then we use cool and fantastic tools to go about helping your body heal and protect itself. Otherwise, your pain or problem could return in another place else as some (seemingly unconnected) niggly ache or problem.

For instance, that pain you feel in your lower back may be due to a dysfunction somewhere else. Focusing only on your lower back and ignoring your whole spine (or your legs) may bring little to no relief.
